Algonquin Outfitters Stores Update

We've been busy at Algonquin Outfitters this summer with many upgrades across the company.

Huntsville went through a renovation this past winter and spring after our mid winter flood. We converted a lot of our lower level floor space to retail bike shop floor space. We also converted our back deck into a summer rental area with new signage and more walk up rentals of kayaks, canoes and bikes.

AO Boatwerks
in Haliburton probably went through the largest renovation we saw this year, when we moved the store from it's old location in the rafters of the village barn to some prime retail space on the corner of the main intersection of town. This move also involved a huge renovation to our new location making it one of our sharpest looking stores. If you haven't been there yet to check it out you should drop by sometime soon. Don't worry if you can't make it this week we've also decided to open our Haliburton store all year long now too. So we'll be open in Haliburton for the winter this year.

We also opened our newest location at the Red Leaves resort on Lake Rosseau near Minett. It was an interesting year there that started with finding out that the marina building not only was going to be an exciting place to run a store from but also finding out that there was a Beaver who had build his hut right inside the marina building! After evicting the Beaver things got back to normal, normal that is if you consider hard hats and steel toe boots were required just to get to the store. By the middle of the summer things were a little more calm with clients and customers visiting the store and attending our new Sunday morning paddle sessions out on Lake Rosseau.
We even got some of the staff from the new Rosseau, A JW Marriott Resort & Spa out for a paddling session.

Lastly we finally brought our old Brent store out of the dark ages and into the 21st century with an install of high speed satellite internet service. This was a huge upgrade since our Brent store runs on a generator and doesn't even have a land based phone line.

I also noticed this week that we are not the only ones who have done some upgrades. it seems Google Maps also have upgraded their high res maps along highway #11. Rendering our Bracebridge store and our Huntsville store now in high resolution, check it out online at Google Maps.

And there's even one more announcement in the works that's still is To Be Announced
